Hisham Hafez, MD
Hisham Hafez, M.D., is a Board Certified psychiatrist in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry with over 45 years of experience. The guiding principle of his work is patient-centered care, based on the belief that a therapeutic alliance is the key factor in a healing process. The unique relationship between a person and his/her caregivers is at the core of the tradition of medicine – indeed all the healing arts – and determines its therapeutic power. Scientific advances in the understanding of the nature, cause, and treatment of illness will yield its promise to relieve human suffering only if this core value is honored. At Healthy Perspectives, we do.
Dr. Hafez’s interests consist of severe and persistent mental illness that includes psychotic disorders, affective, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorders and memory and cognitive defects.

Nancy Gilbert, APRN
Nancy Gilbert is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, working in the field for the past 27 years. She has spent over 20 years of her career in both direct patient care as well as being actively involved as a clinical investigator and coordinator for the implementation of clinical research.
Nancy is currently a certified "Group Lifestyle Balance" (GLB) administrator and holds a certificate in Primary Care Behavioral Health Integration from UMass Medical School. She is currently working on completing a double fellowship in pediatric and adult functional integrated psychiatry. Nancy also is certified in RXyT and can provide seated therapeutic yoga to her patients. She is passionate about helping individuals meet their personal wellness goals through shared decision making and a choice of both traditional and evidence-based complementary treatment options.

DeAnna Pangione, APRN
DeAnna is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and graduate from Rivier University. She takes a holistic approach to treatment, working with the client to create and identify the best plan of care. Additionally, she uses motivational interviewing to infuse client’s beliefs and cultural backgrounds into her treatment plans.

DeAnna utilizes various approaches to help her clients achieve their therapeutic goals, including medication and lifestyle modifications. She incorporates evidence-based practices to ensure that the research supports the treatment options, in order to provide optimal care.

DeAnna works with adults and has experience helping individuals with anxiety, depression, acute stress disorder, as well as other disorders. She is passionate about helping people navigate difficulties and watching them bloom into an improved version of themselves.

Lynn Barowski, LICSW
Lynn is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Psychology and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State University East Bay in 2016. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, and young adults in group home, juvenile justice, homeless shelter, and community mental health settings in New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, and here in Southern New Hampshire. Lynn uses a client- and family-centered, collaborative approach to treat anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma-related disorders, insomnia, and impulse-control and conduct disorders. She has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and DBT for Adolescents, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Insomnia, Modular Approach to Therapy with Children (MATCH), and is Board approved to provide clinical supervision in the state of New Hampshire.

Laura Lombardi, LICSW
Laura is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She graduated with her Master’s Degree from the University of New Hampshire. Laura has completed training through Postpartum Support International to provide more comprehensive treatment for moms and families. She has experience working in the community mental health setting and also as a hospital social worker. Laura is a co-facilitator of the Rewire skills building workshop. Her areas of interest consist of women’s issues (including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders such as postpartum depression), anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, grief and loss, relationship issues, and PTSD. Laura’s approach is client centered, psychotherapy which utilizes techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gentle Reprocessing, and psychoeducation.

Nicholas Trowbridge, LCMHC
Nick is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Nick has experience working in a community mental health setting and has worked with a diverse population of clients, including children, adults, older adults, and couples that have presented with a wide variety of diagnoses and issues. His main areas of interest lie in trauma work and anxiety. Nick has training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Nick also has training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for working with couples. Nick offers a client-centered approach that considers each person’s unique life experiences while also working to get to the core of the issue in a safe and supportive environment. His ultimate goal is to help people work through their trauma and anxiety by finding the perfect balance between challenge and support.

Jenna Hampe, MS
Jenna graduated from New England College in 2022 with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jenna started at Healthy Perspectives as a clinical intern, treating adults and adolescents with various mental health conditions. Jenna has worked with at-risk youth in the school setting providing counseling, crisis intervention, and delivering social emotional learning curriculum. Jenna has experience working with adults in the community mental health setting providing clinical interventions to address a wide variety of symptoms and conditions. Jenna takes a client-centered approach, always encouraging the client to be the agent of their own life and borrows from therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, solutions-focused, motivational interviewing, and others. Jenna works with all clients to create a safe and nonjudgmental space through relationship and rapport building.

Michaila graduated from Lesley University in 2024 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a specialization in Art Therapy. She spent two years as an intern at Health Perspectives working with individuals and running art therapy groups. She is interested in working with adults experiencing and living with mood disorders and/or PTSD. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in mindfulness and embodied practices, with influences from narrative therapy, internal family systems, polyvagal theory, and somatic work. She believes therapy is a powerful space for self-expression and healing where each person’s unique journey is honored and supported.
Art therapy is for anyone who is interested in processing, exploring, and regulating through the creative arts. It combines traditional talk therapy with creating. No experience with creating and making is required. Scribbles and stick figures are welcome!
Michaila Sheehan-Klein, MA, ATR-P

Aiden Carroll, BS
Aiden Carroll is a dedicated member of the Healthy Perspectives team, serving as both a Research and Special Programs Coordinator and TMS Technician. In these roles, Aiden supports clinical research operations through participant recruitment, consenting, data collection, data integrity, and adherence to Good Clinical Practice Guidelines. He also contributes to patient care by screening individuals for treatment-resistant depression and OCD, as well as performing key procedures such as brain mapping and motor-threshold assessments for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy.
Aiden brings additional experience in public health, where he has supported community health initiatives, patient education, and data-driven program evaluation. His background as an EMT has strengthened his ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations, provide trauma-informed care, and work effectively within interdisciplinary medical teams. He also has training in exercise science, giving him a strong foundation in human physiology, wellness promotion, and evidence-based approaches to improving physical health—knowledge that complements his clinical and research roles.
Aiden holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of New Haven. Before joining Healthy Perspectives, Aiden gained hands-on operational experience in warehouse settings at Dexter and Textrail, managing inventory, shipping and receiving, and facility maintenance. He has also worked in field services, supporting equipment management, material logistics, and on-site project demands.
Outside of work, Aiden is committed to staying active and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. He enjoys going to the gym, focusing on his own health and fitness, and skiing whenever he has the chance to hit the slopes.

Mikayla MacIntyre, BSN, RN
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Intern
Mikayla is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner student at Boston College, with an expected graduation in May 2026. She earned her BSN in 2019 and has six years of experience as an RN—first at a residential facility for adolescents with significant trauma, and later as a school nurse in a large public elementary school in the Boston area. During this time, Mikayla also pursued her Juris Doctor at Suffolk University Law School for two years before returning to the nursing field, ultimately realizing her passion lay in advanced clinical care rather than legal practice.

Mikayla specializes in working with youth and families experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and challenges with emotional regulation. She brings a broad understanding of school-based supports, academic accommodations, and legal-system dynamics into her work. With her unique legal background, Mikayla also holds a strong interest in the intersection of psychiatry and the justice system.

Outside of her clinical work, Mikayla enjoys spending time with family, caring for her 78 house plants, traveling, and trying new recipes—especially homemade bread and pasta!

Laura Gargasz, BA,
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
Laura is excited to be completing her clinical work at Healthy Perspectives, where she supports individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their own strengths. She works with clients facing many different concerns, such as major life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or simply feeling stuck. Laura’s goal is to create a welcoming and supportive space where people feel truly heard and understood, and where they can begin to find new ways forward.
She is currently completing her clinical internship to earn her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University and is supervised by Dr. Carolyn Morgan.
Before pursuing counseling, Laura earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Marketing from Syracuse University and spent many years in corporate communications, marketing, and real estate. This experience taught her how to connect with people from all walks of life, listen closely, and help others work through complex decisions—skills she now brings into her counseling work.

Lucelly Howorth, BSN, RN

Please join us in welcoming Lucy Howorth, RN, Psychiatric-Mental Health NP Intern. Lucy is currently completing her final clinical internship as she pursues her Master’s degree. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Rivier University and brings over 20 years of psychiatric nursing experience caring for patients across the lifespan. Lucy provides thoughtful, patient-centered mental health care rooted in compassion, dignity, and active listening.

With a calm and kind-hearted presence, Lucy is committed to helping individuals navigate difficult emotions, life transitions, and long-term mental health needs. Her experience brings depth and empathy to her clinical work. Outside of her professional role, Lucy is an avid gardener and loves to sew—creative pursuits that reflect her patience, focus, and care. Carolyn Morgan, PhD.
Carolyn Morgan, PhD.
Dr. Carolyn Morgan was awarded her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Long Island University in 1988. She is licensed in the state of New Hampshire, and has been practicing psychology for over 30 years.
During the course of her career, she provided individual therapy with adults and adolescents. Dr. Morgan has facilitated, or co-facilitated a variety of groups including; Dialectical Behavioral skills group, grief, eating disorders, chronic pain, anxiety and depression. Over the past several years, she has worked with Laura Lombardi, LICSW, to develop Rewire, an experiential mindfulness-based workshop. Rewire teaches evidence- based skills that can be generalized into all areas of one’s life.
Dr. Morgan retired from her full-time clinical practice last fall. She currently devotes her time to the further development of Rewire. Additionally, she is writing for her blog at GrowingResilienceNh.com. She has an ongoing interest in determining the factors that enhance the effectiveness of psychotherapy, particularly focusing on the benefit of integrating skills into individual therapy.
